Our first priority at St. George Village is to protect our residents’ health and safety. With the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we have moved quickly to put additional measures in place on top of our existing infection control protocol to ensure that we are doing everything possible to prevent the spread of communicable disease within our community.
Currently, only essential personnel are allowed inside St. George Village and we have instituted a strict screening procedure for all those who enter. Our extremely thorough cleaning and sanitization regimen is performed on a regular schedule throughout the day. Additionally, we have implemented a social distancing plan for residents and employees per recommendations set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
During this challenging time, we want our residents, their families, employees, vendors and anyone who is part of St. George Village to know that we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of all. The conditions under which we are working are fluid as we learn more about COVID-19 each day. Our goal is to inform you of the latest news being released to us from the CDC, Departments of Health and Emory Healthcare, along with any operational changes that impact our community.
Therefore, we will be updating this webpage and our Facebook page frequently, not just to share information, but also to actually show you, in words and photos, how St. George Village is handling the day-to-day management of COVID-19. We invite you to check these resources regularly.

When the Governor’s order for senior living communities to shelter in place expired last month, we began re-opening our community on June 15. The following is an update sent to residents and their families regarding the planning underway for reopening. April 29, 2020 Dear residents, Please keep up the great work in minimizing the impact of the flu and COVID-19 in our community. Frequent handwashing, not touching your face, and maintaining social distancing are important keys […]
St. George Village is pleased to offer our North and South Village residents the opportunity to schedule telemedicine appointments with primary care physician Dr. Charles Clopton. Telemedicine allows the doctor to virtually see patients via technological device (computer, tablet or smartphone), and will be another important tool in keeping our community safe and healthy, especially […]
As a result of COVID-19, many family events and gatherings have been delayed or undergone changes to comply with social distancing guidelines. Although SGV resident Sally Fullerton was unable to attend granddaughter Caroline’s wedding this past weekend (only 10 people were present), she was able to enjoy some photos from the event via cell phone. […]
As of April 2, 2020, St. George Village remains free of COVID-19 and the flu. Our goal is to maintain this status with the implementation of new measures, whenever possible, to help in this important cause. Due to the continuing outbreak of COVID-19 and our ongoing review of information from the CDC, Regional C Coalition, […]

Social distancing doesn’t mean we can’t find creative ways to stay in touch with our families and friends on the outside, as well as with our neighbors on the inside! FaceTime and Skype are a great way to have face-to-face communication while following social distancing protocol. P.S. Our residents are tech-savvy!
