Wellington Court residents enjoyed a menu of hamburgers, hot dogs, coleslaw, watermelon, baked beans and banana pudding while soaking up a bit of sunshine on the veranda overlooking a beautiful waterfall! These family fun events are scheduled throughout the spring and summer months for all Wellington Court residents.
Family members of residents were encouraged to join us as well because we all know how important cookouts were to us growing up. I personally remember very well the cookouts at the lake with my grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters and of course my crazy uncles. Our residents particularly enjoy these cookouts because it also reminds them of their own family gatherings. Mary Lib, a resident at Wellington Court shared with us some of her cookout memories with her family in the North Carolina mountains with her 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
It was good to see so many healthy appetites… but then who could resist a hamburger hot off the grill!
